Sara & Jan's love story

Sara and Jan were in Galway visiting some old friends and colleagues, and they also took the opportunity to get a few photographs together, to immortalise the moment. And they couldn’t have chosen a better weekend, one of those rare sunny weekends in Ireland!

Since we had already talked the week before about the photo session, what kind of photos they were looking for, etc., everything was planned, so we went straight to our first stop: Barna woods. Nothing works better than a lovely blurry green background, especially in the Emerald Island. We first walked through the woods, taking a few captures surrounded by trees, and playing with the sunrays coming through the few spaces left by their leaves. We ended up in a large green field before driving to the next location. They played with each other, kissed, and even laid down a bit. I always try to be unnoticed, so that my clients are relaxed and can be just themselves.

After the first part of the session at the woods, we went to Blackrock, a beach not to far away from our location. We were trying to avoid the crowded beaches of Salthill, but it turned out to be also full of people enjoying the over 25 degrees sunny Saturday. Anyhow, running quite a lot and playing with the perspective, I managed to get more shoots than I expected of the couple, as if they were in a deserted island.

The day was hot and exhausting, however I was already really satisfied with the captures of the day (pun intended), even with what I could see on the camera’s LCD. Even more important, the three of us had a good craic and recharged our vitamin D supplies a little.

Warm kisses to this lovely couple from Switzerland.
